Traduttore, traditore ?

This ancient Italian saying summarizes the way translators have often been seen: literally "translator, traitor". It’s not mere wordplay: the saying also reveals the great importance of the translator's role, and why it is essential to call in a professional, if you do not want to be betrayed!

Translating a text is not just switching words from one language to another: it means expressing the meaning of a text according to different rules and constraints. And, of course, without the reader noticing the text he or she is reading is actually a translation, which explains why professional translators exclusively translate into their mother tongue.

My mother tongue is French and I have a translation degree from the leading Translation School in Switzerland (ETI, University of Geneva). I translate all types of texts from English, German, Italian and Spanish into French.

I work every day with private clients and translation agencies. Discover an overview of my fields of expertise and of my experiences.

I am also available for proofreading and localization. I received my training as a professional proofreader at the Paris Centre d'Ecriture et de Communication (Paris Center for Writing and Communication). I am therefore able to pick up the slightest irregularity and provide you with a text free of any misprints, errata or typos.
